"takechip" is the PokerStars screename of high stakes French Canadian Pro Phillipe D'Auteuil.
D'Auteuil started playing poker in low limit live games at the age of just sixteeen with close friend and fellow poker pro (and bluefirepoker instructor) Martin "DrGiggy" Giguere. He graduated to the virtual felt aged 18 playing NL200 where he quickly rose through the limits and hit the $25/$50 tables at the end of 2007/early 2008, his breakout year. Winning over $700k at PokerStars in the first two months of 2008, mainly at HU $25/$50 takechip was seen in some circles of something of a "luckbox". While it may have been true he was on an epic heater, D'Auteuil has since more than proven his ability having won over $2 million across his PokerStars and Full Tilt accounts (his moniker on Full Tilt being FLIPokeHer)
2008 also saw D'Auteuil's public profile raise somewhat as he placed 5th in the 2008 EPT main event in London, UK for $358,000.
Having seen the high stakes action move to PLO D'Auteuil is now a regular at the PokerStars high stakes PLO tables where he continues to build his roll and his reputation as a force to be reckoned with.
