PepperoniF also plays as
Rui Cao on Full Tilt Poker
“PepperoniF” is the PokerStars screen name of Pot-Limit Omaha specialist Rui Cao, who gained most of his early fame on Full Tilt Poker. Lately though, Cao has spent the majority of his time on the PepperoniF name since he’s been crushing the PokerStars competition.
PepperoniF became more known to the public in a Superstar Showdown match against Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, where the two engaged in four tables of $50/$100 PLO. Going into the matchup, many people thought that Cao had the advantage since he was running so hot, while Blom was sparsely playing at this point. However, Isildur1 got off to a very quick start after winning a $20k pot on the first hand, then winning a $40k pot less than an hour later. Good fortune continued to come Blom’s way as he won most of the big pots, and took $150,000 off of Cao in 2,257 hands.
Superstar Showdown aside, Cao has become one of the most successful high stakes PLO players in the game today. This fact is reinforced by Cao’s play on Full Tilt Poker, where he’s up over $496k since HighStakesDB began tracking him in November, 2010. A big part of Cao’s Full Tilt success comes via March, where he made over $900k during this month.
