Born in 1987 in Finland, Sami Kelopuro (known in the online poker world as LarsLuzak) helped launch a new generation of online poker specialists. He exploded onto the nosebleed stakes scene at Full Tilt Poker in 2007 as he took on the likes of Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey. 2007 was probably his best year thus far: he made an impressive $1.5 million that year. He even took down the $10,000 NL Hold 'em High Roller event at PokerStars, taking home a $72,000 prize.
Kelopuro began playing poker in 2005, when he was invited to a friend’s house to play a SNG style tourney. He got hooked and began playing online soon after. The rumor says that most of his online earnings are from some huge $250/500 sessions on Betfair. However, since most high stakes games have moved to Pokerstars and Full Tilt nowadays, this is where we'll see him.
