"FinddaGrind" is the current screen name of one of the biggest stars in the poker world, Patrik Antonius. This was one of his screen names before becoming a member of Team Full Tilt on 1 June 2008, after which he changed his screen name to his given name (Patrik Antonius). However, the FinddaGrind alias was reborn again in early February 2013, after Antonius decided that he was no longer going to play under his Team Full Tilt name.
Antonius was born and raised in Helsinki, Finland. He initially wanted to become a professional tennis player and even though he made it quite high up the ranks, he wasn't able to make it to the big stage. He used to also be a model and often gets noted as the "sexiest poker player in the world" - a statement which he doesn't like to hear as he prefers people talking about how he plays rather than how he looks.
He received his initial training in poker from Marcel Luske where he was a member of Luske's "Circle of Outlaws". He burst onto the international poker scene in 2005 when he had six top-15 finishes in major tournaments that year, including a 3rd place finish in the EPT Barcelona Open and a 2nd place finish in the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic, cashing for over $1 million in the latter. He also had two wins - the Scandinavian Poker Championship and the EPT Baden Classic.
Since then, he did not make any major scores in the live tournament circuit (apart from 2007 when he came 3rd in the WSOP $10k PLO event) until 2011. He final-tabled the Main Events of both the Aussie Millions (8th) and WSOPE (9th) in one year. In 2012, he came 2nd in A$250,000 Challenge at the Aussie Millions cashing for A$1.2 million, and also came 4th in the EPT Grand Final Super High Roller Reload Event for €443,000. In the 2013 Aussie Millions, he reached the final table of the Main Event again, this time coming 3rd for A$600,000.
It is at the online tables where Antonius has enjoyed tremendous success. He used to crush the games on the Euro sites when he was unheard of. He managed to continue that success on the tables of Full Tilt, where he has won over $11 million as Patrik Antonius and $775k as Luigi66369 in addition to this account.
He currently lives in Monaco (tax haven) with his wife, Maya Geller, and two children. He was the first player to step up to the durrrr challenge and so far is down over $2 million in the c.40k hands played so far. He has also played in the big poker game in the world in Macau and it is rumoured that he has been successful in his trips there. We have also seen him take part in TV shows such as High Stakes Poker, Poker After Dark and Full Tilt Poker Million Dollar Challenge.
