Brian "Brian Townsend" Townsend is another American professional living in exile.
Townsend already made a name for himself while playing as "sbrugby" on Full Tilt Poker, during the first five months of 2007 he won $3 million at the NLHE tables, while his PLO numbers were in the red.
Experienced a $4 million swing playing under his real name on Full Tilt as a red pro in 2009. During 9 months Brian played PLO and H.O.R.S.E exclusively, and basically went from even to a 4 million dollar profit and back.
Former lead instructor at Cardrunners, but decided that it was too time consuming and resigned in June 2010. At the same time he abandoned his red pro status and reunited with his old screen name.
He hasn't been playing that many Live Poker Tournaments, yet he managed to cash somewhere around $350K. Townsend participated in the third season of the TV Show High Stakes Poker.
Brian has been involved in and a $1.8 million PLO pot, which he lost to Bobby Baldwin, playing live poker in Las Vegas. Townsend was bluffing all 3 streets, and Baldwin slow playing the nuts with a redraw.
