Dan Smith Aims to Raise $350,000 for Charity

High-stakes pro Dan "Danny98765" Smith, who has nearly $15 million in live tournament earnings, announced recently his plan to raise $350,000 for charities before the year ends.

Last year, Smith and fellow high-stakes pro Dan Colman organized a very successful charity drive, that matched all donations up to a total of $70,000. The goal was reached and this year Smith has raised the stakes, and will be matching charity donations up to $175,000.

"Dan Colman and I organized a very successful charity drive, so I wanted to do it again, this time on a larger scale. Between now and the end of the year, I am matching charity donations up to $175,000.", Smith explains.

This year Smith will match donations made to: The Against Malaria Foundation, Give Directly, Massachusetts Bail Fund, Just City, Liberation Prison Yoga, Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), Zendo Project, Open Philanthropy and 350.org.

Smith has had a very succesful year in live tournaments and has managed to accumulate almost $5 million in live tournament cashes.
