David Peters can add another big cash and tournament title to his ever-growing list of poker accomplishments after taking down the PokerStars ACOP High Roller for HK$4,885,200.

Just last month, Peters won the Sunday Million tournament on PokerStars for over $143,000 and now, after travelling to Macau for the 2016 PokerStars Asia Championship of Poker, he added another ~US$630,000 to his live tournament earnings. That takes his total 2016 live tournament earnings over the $6 million mark.

In the heads-up play Peters outlasted British businessman Paul Newey. In the last hand of the tournament, Newey was a short stack when he called all-in with K♦6♠ and couldn't beat Peters' A♣8♦.

"I feel amazing. This was a very nice tournament to win and it went very smoothly. Usually it's a little rougher but things went my way and I felt I played great the whole tournament. I felt like I was in the zone the whole time. The turning point for me was the high roller result in Malta. I finally got that big win and things have been going my way since then. I've been playing great and working really hard things have fallen into place." , a triumphant Peters said after his victory.
