Joe "ChicagoJoey" Ingram and Doug "WCGRider" Polk to Host New Online Poker Show
Two of the most popular providers of online poker content, mid-highstakes PLO grinder Joe "ChicagoJoey" Ingram, and high stakes NLHE player Doug "WCGRider" Polk announced last night that they will be pairing up to provide viewers with a brand new online poker show.
The pair, who have been friends through poker for years, have already produced quite a bit of joint content as Doug has been a guest of Joe's popular "Poker Life Podcast" series on numerous occasions. In fact, a couple of Ingram's earliest podcasts were joint efforts with Polk, which they named the "Poker Power Podcasts".
Up to now Joe has mainly focused on his podcast series, where he has enjoyed lengthy "hangouts on air" with some of the cream of the highstakes poker crop including the likes of; Ben "Ben86" Tollerene, Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky, Ike Haxton, Jens "Jeans89" Kyllonen, Daniel Negreanu, Dan "jungleman12" Cates, Alex "Kanu7" Millar, as well as many other prominent poker personalities. Polk, meanwhile, has been busy of late producing a whole host of poker content including a lot of famous hand analysis, news, live streaming etc, as well as producing content for his training site "Upswing Poker".
The two friends have now decided to pool their considerable talents and media savvy to produce a brand new poker show which will be recorded live and streamed on twitch before being uploaded to youtube.
There wasn't much informationn given as to the format of the show when Joe & Doug announced in on Joe's Poker Life Podcast last night. Polk said, "We want to try and do something that's a little next level, (and) put some production quality together". while Joe added that he feels they "Bring an intelligent viewpoint on many different topics around the poker world".
