It appears that the 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event final table, that resumed earlier this week, has attracted many well-known pros back to Las Vegas.
According to CardPlayer, most of the high-stakes players have not come to town just to watch the new world champion of poker to be crowned, as a total of 34 entries were made in the 2016 Aria Super High Roller $100,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em event this week.
As so many times before, also this time the Super High Roller event ended in a 3-way chop between Brian "tsarrast" Rast, Sam Soverel (pictured) and Jake Schindler, with the 2016 WSOP bracelet winner Soverel taking the biggest cash home, just over $1 million. Soverel has previously won also a $25K and $50K High Roller event at Aria and his recent win takes his live tournament earnings to almost $3,6 million.
To everyone's surprise, Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz only cashed this time for almost $300K after busting out in 4th place.
Final results for the tournament:
1. Sam Soverel $1,024,364
2. Brian Rast $971,880
3. Jake Schindler $835,956
4. Fedor Holz $299,880
5. Tom Marchese $199,920
