"mighty28" Defeats Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond to Win WCOOP's Sunday Warm-Up

After finishing in 7th place for over $70K in the $10,300 buy-in 2016 WCOOP Eight-Game Championship, Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond made another deep run in WCOOP's Sunday Warm-Up special edition.

Galfond fired up two bullets each worth $5,000 in the WCOOP Main Event only to bust out before reaching the money, but managed to earn a nice $183,317.23 payday for his runner-up finish in the 2016 WCOOP Sunday Warm-Up Special edition. Galfond lost the title to Denmark's "mighty28", who banked $264,885.15 for the win.

In addition to Galfond, the final table featured two-time WCOOP winner Patrick "pads1161" Leonard (4th, $87,8K), who just last week earned over $162K for his win in Event #65, $700 No-Limit Hold'em (Ultra-Deep).

The $215 buy-in special edition of the Sunday Warm-Up drew 6,200 players who made 3,466 re-entries to create a total prize pool of $1,933,200.00.
