Poker Pro David Williams Falls Short on MasterChef Finale

World Poker Tour winner and poker pro David Williams narrowly missed out on MasterChef glory recently in the US prime time show.

After announcing his participation in April, Williams had been competing for the win and $250,000 first-place prize + cookbook deal in the competitive cooking reality show.

In the TV final, the judges agreed that none of the finalists nailed all three dishes and decided that Las Vegas-based nightclub DJ Shaun O’Neale had the best two dishes.

That meant Williams had settle for second place - a feeling he has come familiar with having finished runner-up also in the 2004 WSOP Main Event. After the final, Gordon Ramsay took to Twitter to thank all of the finalists:
