Weekly Highstakes Update: Trueteller On Top With $269k Win
Russian pro Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov was last week's biggets nosebleed winner at PokerStars after taking $269k between the NLHE, 8-Game and PLO tables.
Half of Trueteller's profit came from the NLHE tables, and all of that came from a three handed $200/$400 session on Monday where he won $167.2k from 113 hands playing three handed against Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz and Andres "Educa-p0ker" Artinano. More than 2/3 of his table profit came from him taking down the biggest pot of the day:
Unlucky for CrownUpGuy as his pocket Kings find themselves way behind Trueteller's flopped set of 4's. CrownUpGuy gets in all in on the turn only to see his opponent gladly call and scoop this $212.2k pot
This pot lead to a little friction between Trueteller and CrowUpGuy as the Russian pro seemed to insult his German opponent by telling him that the "Better player won". For more on this incident check out our earlier article.
Trueteller was also the week's biggest 8-Game winner, earning $83k there in the last 7-days. Most of it came from a $56k heads-up win against Alex "joiso" Kostritsyn on Monday, which you can read more about here
There was also some good PLO action last week, with regular $200/$400 games running, producing a few six-figure pots. Here is the biggest from an early hours session last Friday:
Ravenswood13 and Educa-p0ker make the nutflush and second nutflush respectively on the river. With all the money in it's Ravenswood13 who takes this $139.4k pot
The biggest winner from the PLO tables last week was bajskorven87 who made a $131.9k profit after two winning sessions. He won $64k on Monday, and then added $75.8k from the Friday morning session where the big pot above also took place.
The final six-figure winner of the week was Grazvis1 who won all but $1k of his $123k weekly haul from a $200/$400 PLO session last Thursday afternoon. You can read more about his big win here
