888poker to Launch "888Live Festivals" In London This October

While online poker might have seen a gradual decline in business over the past few years, the live poker scene is more vibrant than ever before with record turnouts for poker festivals being scene across the globe. Just a week or so ago we reported on PokerStars newly branded "PokerStars Championships and PokerStars Festivals" and now the worlds second largest online poker operator, 888poker, have announced that they too will be introducing their own "888Live Festivals", starting next month at London's Aspers Casino in Stratford.

The Poker Festivals will take place three times a year and will be in addition to the current "888Live Local" events already scheduled.

The 11 day festivals are designed to give players a better poker experience. A greater variety of tournaments, with longer structures, a wider range of buy-ins, and bigger guarantees.

The highlight of the festival is the £880 entry 888Live Festival Main Event which runs from Thursday October 20th to Sunday October 23rd. The main event will also see an £888 bounty on the heads of 888 pros playing in the main event.
