Alexander "joiso" Kostritsyn Up Over $100k This Weekend

Once again Russian mixed-game expert Alexander "joiso" Kostritsyn was the biggest highstakes winner from yesterday's games at PokerStars and his $43,256 win puts him up $106k over the past two days.

Once again joiso's profits came from the 8-Game tables where he played for around 3hr 15 mins in total yesterday afternoon/evening.

Kostritsyn played close to 500 hands across several tables but it was a 46 hand session at $1k/$2k table Gaea II which propelled him to the top of the daily leaderboard. Prior to this session, the Russian was around $35k down for the day after losses at the $200/$400 and $400/$800 tables.

The 20 minute $1k/$2k session took place mid-afternoon heads-up against fellow Russian phenom Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov, and ended with joiso a $67.8k winner. Half of his profit came from taking down what turned out to be the day's biggest pot:

Kostritsyn is also the biggest winner so far today, up another $40k from the 8-Game tables.

The second biggest winner from yesterday's games was another Russian, Sergey "St1ckman" Vasiliev who ended his day up $31.6k, with most of his winnings coming from the FLHE tables, with a little from the $50/$100 PLO games.

Yet another Russian took third spot on yesterday's daily leaderboard at Katya_18 won $31.1k from the $50/$100 NLHE ring games, with Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky taking back a little after his big loss the previous day, winning $28k, most of it in mixed-games, with a little NLHE profit thrown in.
