Gus Hansen Back Online at PokerStars

It's been over a year since Gus Hansen finally decided that getting smashed for hundreds of thousands of dollars on a weekly basis online wasn't particularly fun and stopped playing against the elite at online poker, but he's obviously decided he missed the action as for the past couple of day's he's been back at PokerStars playing under his Stars screen name "broksi"

Despite losing over $21m in online highstakes games, Hansen is still clearly a man with a substantial bankroll as his recent appearances in the big $1500/$3000 game over at the Bellagio with the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius and Doyle Brunson would suggest - especially considering, as Negreanu reported back, the prop bets they were making were worth considerably more than the amounts they were winning and losing at the poker table!

Over the past couple of days, Hansen has been getting involved in some (for him) relatively low limit Triple Draw and Limit Omahi Hi/Lo games. He played for around an hour and forty minutes yesterday at the $200/$400 TD tables where he played against RaulGonzales and another big name who hasn't been seen at the virtual felt for some time, Cort "thecortster" Kibler-Melby. During his brief stint at the tables, Hansen won just over $5.5k.

The Great Dane has been at the tables a lot longer today, having already logged around 800 hands at the $300/$600 triple draw and FLO8 tables. So far he is doing ok and is up around $15k for the day. However, at one point he was up close to $70k today and is up against some great players including Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky, Alexander "joiso" Kostritsyn, Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov, and RaulGonzales - so who knows how the battles will end up?

Either way, it's good to see a true legend of the game back in the mix, his appearance is sure to liven up the highstakes action at PokerStars if he's here to stay for a while!
