SamRostan Gets Revenge on Trueteller - Wins $120k Session
After losing a six-figure sum to Russian pro Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov in Friday's mixed-game action at PokerStars, Macau based pro Chun Lei "SamRostan" Zhou made amends yesterday, ending the day up $113.4k after winning over $120k from Trueteller at the $1k/$2k tables.
SamRostan's big score took place after the pair moved up from the $400/$800 to $1k/$2k tables in the early hours of yesterday morning. In a little under an hour and forty minutes SamRostan won $120,279 from 374 hands, at one point going up $150k for the session before a slight dip just before the table broke at 2.29am.
It wasn't all bad news for Trueteller yesterday, however, as he managed to claw back a good chunk of his $1k/$2k losses against SamRostan, winning over $80k in some $50/$100 NLHE ring games yesterday afternoon. After these wins, Kuznetsov's deficit by the end of the day was just over $41k.
There were no other six-figure winners from yesterday's games with second place on the daily leaderboard going to PLO specialist fjutekk who earned $40.3k at the $50/$100 tables, with his profit coming from a +$52.2k win heads-up over Swedish player WRUUUUM at table Daedalus. fjutekk also won the biggest pot of the day at this table:
