Olivier Busquet takes 7th place for $104,842.
The final table has officially been set at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Chotaw $3,700 buy-in Main Event in Durant, Oklahoma, United States. Bastian Fischer will have the chip lead when the final day of play gets off to a start later today.
Last year the first-ever WPT Chotaw Main Event proved to be a big success as 1,175 entrants took to the felt to create a $3,973,725 prize pool, which crushed the $2,000,000 guarantee. The Main Event was eventually won by a 42-year-old carpet storeowner, Jason Brin, who earned $682,975 for his win.
This year the guaranteed prize pool was $1 million more and after a total of 1,066 entrants, the final prize pool ended up being just over $3,6 million.
Olivier Busquet bubbled the televised final table in 7th place for $104,842 after he lost his last chips with JJ to Craig Varnells, who held AQ. After eliminating Busquest, Varnell will start the final table second in chips (7,495,000), just behind chip leader Bastian Fischer (8,780,000).
The final table action will kick off today at 4:00 pm Central Time.
