Hollywood superstar Matt Damon, star of arguably the best poker movie of all time "Rounders" has recently talked about the possibility of a sequel to the film where he would reprise his role of Mike McDermott.
Talking on Rich Eisen's talk show a few days ago the host asked Damon whether he would consider bringing Will Hunting back, to which he replied that he wouldn't be revisiting the role that broke him in hollywood, especially not with Robin (Williams) now gone. However, when asked about another Rounders he said that this was something that he had recently discussed with Brian Koppelman and David Levien, the writers of the original 1998 movie, in which he starred alongside Edward Norton and John Malkovich.
Damon went on to say that the seeing these guys playing poker, 20 years almost since the original would be an interesting angle to explore, considering that the game of poker has changed almost beyond recognition since the late 90's. Imagining old school pros like Mike, Worm, and Teddy KGB being felted by a teenage online phenom would certainly give the movie an interesting dynamic!
