Amaya Inc, owners of PokerStars are to cut "dozens of jobs" at their London offices as a result of their decision to close down the Full Tilt brand to concentrate on the single brand of PokerStars.
Stars VP of Communications, Eric Hollreiser confirmed last week to eGaming review that the office was to lose staff. The company said that "dozens" of jobs were to be cut, with some affected staff being relocated to thier cost-effective Isle of Man office saying that the company were losing "a few dozen existing roles in several offices, while simultaneously creating a few dozen new roles in several offices.”
The company also said that many of the job losses were related to Amaya's decision to merge the Full Tilt poker operation into PokerStars and effectively dissolve the brand to focus on a single brand strategy in order to meet its investors targets.
