Chris Moorman Signs With 888poker
Chris Moorman, the biggest ever online tournament winner, has become the latest big name to sign with the increasingly popular 888poker network, joining the likes of Kara Scott, Dominik Nitsche, and Brazilian soccer superstar Denilson.
Earlier this year, the 30 year old English pro broke the $13m mark in online tournament cashes (he is now almost up to $13.4m according pocket fives). He also has a record 25 online triple crowns to his name, as well as a none-too-shabby +$4m in live tournament winnings, including a WPT title and 2nd place in a WSOPE Main Event for over $1m.
With such a killer resume Moorman's patronage of 888poker can only be a boost to the world's second largest online poker room. With their sponsorship of the WSOP now in its second year, their popular "888 local live" series of tournaments, their recent sponsorship of the Super High Roller Bowl, and a superb range of cash games and tournaments, 888poker may, in the not too distant future, become a serious challenger to PokerStars dominant position as the biggest online poker site in the world.
Moorman took to his twitter account yesterday to share the news with his followers:
So excited to announce that I've joined @888poker as their newest ambassador! #888poker pic.twitter.com/XCf8gPA2VD

On the move Moorman, who will play at 888 under the name "888Moorman" said: “My manager started speaking with an 888 representative and when she proposed the idea to me I was incredibly excited. 888 is doing big things and really is working hard to expand their reach in poker. Things like sponsoring the WSOP and the Super High Roller Bowl have shown they are committed to their growth of the brand and I can’t wait to see what they have coming up in the future.”'
