Patrik "Fake Love888" Antonius Makes Winning Comeback at Stars
We haven't seen much of poker legend Patrik "Fake Love888" Antonius at the virtual felt over the past couple of years, and late last year he made the headlines after saying that he no longer felt he could compete in the NLHE and PLO games online due to the overwhelming prevalance of 3rd party tracking software making it "more of a game of numbers". However, he obviously still feels competitive at the mixed-games and yesterday he was back at the top of the daily leaderboard after a $64k win.
Antonius only played for a little over half an hour in total yesterday afternoon, playing 144 hands heads-up against ClockWyze at the $400/$800 8-Game tables. During their brief and piecemeal session the players switched tables twice with breaks between each session. Antonius made five-figure profits at each table.
The biggest pot of the day came from a 3 hour heads-up match at the $100/$200 PLO tables between Daniel "d2themfi" Isaacson and Ben "Ben86" Tollerene. The match itself only resulted in a small ($6.8k) win for Isaacson, although it was end to end stuff with Tollerene up $80k at one point before a $120k upswing put his opponent in front. Here are the day's two biggest pots, both taken from this PLO match.
d2themfi flops top full house and is able to extract value on every street, including a shove on the river - $62.6k pot
Ben86 gets lucky as he floats the flop with nothing and gets his bluff bet called on the turn, only to hit an inside straight draw for the nuts on the river. He bets big on the river and gets paid off - $51.9k pot
The second biggest winner of the day was Daniel "w00ki3z." Cates who earned $55.1k. The vast majority of his profit came from a two hour early evening match at the $400/$800 8-Game tables, where he played against Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky, and SamRostan.
