David "Deldar182" Eldar Wins $103k at PLO
Isildur1 can't seem to get anything going at PokerStars at the moment as he lost another $79k yesterday to RaulGonzales at 2-7
It's been a little while since we had a six-figure winner at PokerStars, but yesterday Australian high stakes pro David "Deldar182" Eldar broke the mark with a $103k win at the PLO tables.
All of Eldar's winnings came from heads-up play against jumper17 at the $50/$100 PLO tables. The pair played at three separate tables but only one at a time and with very short breaks in between table changes. Although Eldar made a profit at each table, the match was actually pretty close and despite Eldar holding a c.$50k lead three hours into the match, after 5.5 hours honours were even. It was only during the final 75 minutes of play at the last table they played when the Aussie pro ran away from his opponent, winning around $80k during that time.
Polish phenom Dzmitry "Colisea" Urbanovich came close to a six-figure score as he cleaned up at the $400/$800 8-Game tables against Brian "tsarrast" Rast in the early hours of the morning, having presumably come straight from the PCA Super High Roller after making it through to day 2. He's since busted the tourney, but after taking $74k from Rast, and another $19k at the $1k/$2k 2-7 TD tables his online exploits yesterday morning almost paid him back his buy-in!
In third place on yesterday's highstakes leaderboard was German Pro RaulGonzales, who enjoyed a $79k win over Viktor "Isildur1" Blom from a morning match at the $1k/$2k 2-7 Triple Draw tables. RaulGonzales lead from the start, going up over $50k in the first half an hour. Despite Blom getting back to even, it was the German who ended on a high after winning a string of five-figure pots.
