The inaugural $500,000 Super High Roller Bowl has now finished after Brian Rast took down the event for a whopping $7,525 million and a championship ring.
There is no easy final table for a $500,000 buy-in event ever, and Rast had to outlast players like Erik Seidel, Timofey "Trueteller" Kuznetsov, Scott Seiver and Tom "kingsofcards" Marchese on his way to victory.
In heads-up, Rast faced Scott Seiver, who just few days ago had won around $700,000 in the Super High Roller cash game. According to PokerNews.com, Seiver started the heads-up play with a 2-1 chip lead over Rast.
However, that didn't stop Rast as he eventually sealed the deal in a big hand, where Seiver was all-in preflop with a pair of fives against his . Rast hit a nine on the flop and Seiver failed to improve on turn and river.
Rast has now nearly $16 million in live tournament cashes and this was already his fourth seven-figure cash from a live tournament. He has also won two WSOP bracelets, both in 2011 ($50,000 The Poker Players Championship and $1,500 PL Hold'em event).
