The High stakes action continues - as do Wilhasha and Ilari FIN's swings
More High stakes action to keep us entertained
Yesterday saw plenty more action, with wilhasha being at the heart of most of it, and there was even some $200/400 PLO. The biggest game in terms of stake yesterday was the 200/400 PLO, where Ilari “Ilari FIN” Sahamies played David “Deldar182” Eldar. The game lasted just 35 minutes, but it was enough to see Ilari walk away $36k better off. The biggest hand of that game was this one .
However, there were other bigger games in terms of action and swings. One of them was when Ilari one-tabled rival Rui “PepperoniF" Cao at $50/100 PLO deep. After an hour's play it was Rui's turn to come out the winner, profiting $80k. There was actually a $100k pot in this game, although it was split, but the next biggest hand was this one. Luckily for Rui, when he is kind of semi-bluffing the turn, the river treats him well. That's all Rui played for the day so he finished up $80k, although Ilari finished down $58k.
There was also a big early morning game, where wilhasha went heads up against altiFC. After being down $143k from the big games the night before, wilhasha significantly cut his losses for the night/morning by taking altiFC for $101k. This battle featured the second biggest hand of the day. The old 92 for wilhasha, and kind of funny how they both show up with a nine in a 4bet pot. The biggest non-split pot hand of that match features a really sick turn, where both players effectively hit gin. The 2 players have already started going at it again today.
Later yesterday, wilhasha also went up against another family foe, Phil "takechip" D’Auteuil. Unfortunately for the Swede this match didn't go as well, as takechip took around $94k of his chips. He did win biggest pot of the match however, this $62k cooler. After more $50/100 6-max games, wilhasha finished the day up around $94k.
There was also a crazily deep $25/50 heads up No limit match, where both players were around 700bb deep for a lot of the game. It was between TheMatadorCC and SKTom84, and they played 979 hands at just one table. The biggest pot of the match was a strange $68k hand, where it seems that TheMatadorCC turns his pocket Kings into a bluff. SKTom84 finished up $68k at the one table, after his opponent tilted away the rest of his stack (at one point just snap-jamming 100b over a 2bb open). However, TheMatadorCC made up for it in the rest of his $25/50 and $50/100 games on Wednesday, as he finished up $17k after the whole day of play.
Overall results for Wednesday:
Winners: wilhasha +$94k, PepperoniF +$80k, takechip +$67k SKTom84 +$58k
Losers: altiFC -$101k, Ilari FIN -$58k, PimpyLimpy -$47k
