Poker Maximus Series Reaches Conclusion This Weekend

The Poker Maximus series of tournaments on the Merge Network reaches its conclusion this weekend with its three Main Events taking place on this Sunday.

The series, which has run since March 4th and by Sunday evening will have seen 70 tournaments ranging from $1 to $530 buy-ins, has been a great success for the network with guaranteed prize pools being bloated by record number of entries. Things started well for the series as the opening tournaments guaranteed $7500 prize pool ended up at over $50,000 due to a staggering 5,000 entrants paying $11 to take part. This was by no means a one off as tournament after tournament has seen prize pool guarantees being eclipsed by wide margins.

As well as varied buy ins the series has also offered tournaments in NLHE, PLO, PLO8 and HORSE.

The series has also run three $175k guaranteed Sunday tournaments so far but the biggest tournaments are set for this weekend as players can enter either the $530 Superstack NLHE event at 16:00 or the $200 highroller at 18:00, both of which have a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. For those with less substantial bankrolls there is an $11 entry "Mini Main Event" with a $50,000 guaranteed prizepool starting at 15:00 on Sunday afternoon. If that entry is still too steep then there are still satellites starting at only $0.55 playing out across the network.

All event winners also get a chance to participate in a $10,000 "Tournament of Champions" and there will also be a freeroll for all those who finish in the top 100 of the tournament leaderboard with $15,000 to be split among the top 20 finishers

We have a great deal for all those who'd like to have a crack at the remaining big money prizes as we have teamed up with Lock Poker, one of the biggest and best sites on the Merge network to offer new players up to 45% cashback with a VIP new members package as well as a 100% sign up bonus on deposits up to $750. Lock is one of the few sites still accepting new US players so sign up here to start earning with Lock Poker and HSDB.
