Durrrr is slumming it at the lower stakes
It seems that everyone is just exhaling after the carnage we have seen over the last few days, and in a sense it feels like a tornado has passed and everyone is picking up the pieces and assessing the damage. There has been no Isildur1 sighting after his battle with Brian Hastings, but durrrr was quite active, playing over 2000 hands, albeit at lower stakes than we are used to. And though the sums are much lower than we are used to seeing, winning $82K is not a bad result regardless of how you look at it.
Today’s graph tells a story about a zee-saw start to the session, he eventually reached as high as $180K, but after some setbacks he had to settle for the $82K win. His best results came in the games against OlliPolli and Browndog19, who are not exactly household names, but the most interesting observation was to see that he took on Ziigmund for 200 hands of $100/$200 PLO. Maybe both players were licking their wounds, and it was durrrr who got the upper hand, winning just over $40K.
David Benyamine flops the nut straight and turns a straight flush to take a $215K pot.
David Benyamine showed made an appearance after not having played much lately, and he was rewarded by winning the largest pot (by quite some margin) of the day, and it was quite a memorable one too.
In a hand that was 4-bet preflop, Brian Townsend flopped what seemed to be the nut flush draw to go along with his aces, and even though Benyamine represented a lot of strength by check raising the continuation bet, he had little choice but to ship his stack. Of course, when he saw Benyamine’s hand, he probably wished that he hadn’t, since he found himself to be a 4-1 underdog. And to add insult to injury, the dealer managed to peel off one of the two cards that at first glance appeared to be a winner for Townsend.
Quite often we see that the largest pot is one by a measly two pairs or something similar, so it is nice to see a proper hand take down the cash for a change ;-)
Tibster24 flops top two pairs and turns a full house to win a $60K pot.
The largest pot in terms of big blind’s (596) came on this hand and is, in my opinion, a huge gift from Browndog19 to tibster24. I don’t know if there was possibly some history there, but moving in with only top pair on this flop seems like an overreaction. Not only is it very unlikely that the hand is best at that point, but he is unlikely to have a significant number of winners either. If his opponent holds top two pairs, which is more or less the worst hand he is representing, he MIGHT have six winners.
I guess it was more a shove meant as a re-steal, but he knows that his opponent is putting him on a decent hand after the 3-bet preflop, so the chances that he is up against a less than solid hand, are not great.
